That this House recognises the invaluable work of the Royal School for the Deaf over its 185 year history; salutes its outstanding national and international reputation as a centre of excellence for individuals with complex learning and communication difficulties; welcomes the charity's new identity as the Seashell Trust which better represents the diversity of the Trust's services; believes this change marks the beginning of an exciting new future; congratulates the Principal, Hilary Ward, and all her remarkable staff on their tremendous work from their base in Cheadle, Cheshire; thanks all the volunteers and donors, locally and nationally, who have contributed so much to the School over the years; and wishes everyone connected with the Seashell Trust every continuing success for its future.
