That this House notes with concern that in 2006-07 up to Â£1.5 billion was lost to error or fraud in tax credit payments; further notes that people under 25 years old with no children are ineligible to claim tax credits; recognises that the inclusion of this age group would cost approximately Â£285 million for the 2009-10 financial year; and calls on the Government to take action to reduce fraud and error as well as to end the age discrimination currently enshrined in tax credit policy.
