Licensing Of Live Music

EDM number 1215 in 2009-10, proposed by Lembit Opik on 30/03/2010.
Categorised under the topics of Licensing and Performing arts.

That this House welcomes the continuing rise of outstanding UK folk, blues and bluegrass bands; notes the success of bands such as Up All Night, Stolen Property and the Toy Hearts; believes that their success represents a resurgence in live music across the country; and calls on the Government to ensure licensing rules are structured to promote live music and not to silence it with red tape and fees.

This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
