That this House congratulates His Royal Highness Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh on the occasion of his 90th birthday; acknowledges his unwavering support of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as her Consort for nearly64 years; commends his commitment to family life as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather; recognises his interest in and contribution to the lives of young people by his instigation of the Duke of Edinburgh Award; praises his advocacy of sport and interest in art; further commends his valour and bravery as a Commander of the Royal Navy during the Second World War and subsequently; extols his patriotism and commitment to the British Monarchy and Royal Family; and expresses its most profound gratitude for all his dedication and unfailing service in the past, now and in the future.
