Iraqi Kurdistan

EDM number 207 in 2010-12, proposed by David Anderson on 10/06/2010.
Categorised under the topics of International development and Iraq.

That this House warmly welcomes the arrival of over 100 senior public officials and business representatives from Iraqi Kurdistan, including its Prime Minister Barham Salih, to attend a major conference in London on business and investment opportunities in the Kurdistan region, which is widely seen as the safe and secure gateway to doing business in Iraq; and believes that increasing trade and investment between and within the UK and the Kurdistan region would be of considerable economic and social benefit to all concerned and would do much to foster the peaceful and democratic development of the Kurdistan region and Iraq as a whole.
