Living In The Holy Land And National Curriculum

EDM number 2656 in 2010-12, proposed by Bob Russell on 26/01/2012.
Categorised under the topics of Education and Middle East.

That this House believes that life over the last 100 years in that part of the Middle East known as the Holy Land should form part of the National Curriculum for History so that pupils and students are taught how the State of Israel was created from the former administration of Palestine; and calls on the Secretary of State for Educationto encourage the development of an outreach programme so that pupils and students can witness how Palestinians in the 21st century live both in their former homelands and in refugee camps in neighbouring countries.
