Sri Lanka And Human Rights

EDM number 2797 in 2010-12, proposed by Jim Shannon on 29/02/2012.

That this House recognises the attacks on the human rights of Christians and others in Sri Lanka; further recognises the potential that there is in Sri Lanka for tourism which is not being fully realised due to the breaches on human rights and the war; and calls on the Government to ascertain what help can be given to this former British colony and to apply diplomatic pressure to ensure that human rights are recognised.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
