EDM number 2798 in 2010-12, proposed by Bob Russell on 29/02/2012.
That this House congratulates the Charity Finance Group (CFG) on its 25th anniversary; recognises the valuable contribution the charity has made in securing a more effective operating environment for charities and in supporting charities in their finance-related functions; welcomes the support CFG provides to help charities make best use of their funds; notes that in its 25 year existence CFG has grown to over 1,800 members, managing a total of 21.75 billion of charity funds; observes that in these difficult economic times sound financial management and leadership is critical in ensuring charities can continue to provide assistance to those who need it most; further notes the part CFG plays in ensuring charities operate on a level playing field; and looks forward to further achievements by the charity in pursuit of this goal.
