Manor Of Trevalga

EDM number 672 in 2010-12, proposed by Daniel Rogerson on 06/09/2010.
Categorised under the topic of Further education.

That this House welcomes the decision by Marlborough College to cease marketing the Manor of Trevalga, left in trust by the late Gerald Curgenven; notes that many homes offered for sale in coastal communities in North Cornwall are purchased as second homes and that such a process would have a devastating effect on this balanced, happy and peaceful community; and calls for the College to rule out any future attempt at a sale while workingwith the residents of the parish to meet their aspirations fora sustainable future and the College's educational objectives as set out in the will left by Mr Curgenven.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
