That this House opposes any further increase in fuel duty; notes that the UK has one of the highest rates of tax on fuel in Europe; is concerned withthe financial impact that increased fuel duty has on motorists; expresses concern for those, especially in rural areas, who are dependent upon private transport and will be hardest hit by increases; and calls on the Government toreduce the burden that motorists in the UK face.
