That this House congratulates Team GB on the success of securing a total of 65 medals at the recent London 2012 Olympics; notes that the UK's near neighbour and long-term friendly rival France secured only a total of 34 medals; and therefore offers its commiserations to its President, Francois Hollande, for his country's inability to take advantage of `...the red carpet [rolled out] for French athletes to win medals'.
