Release Of Yousef Nadarkhani In Iran

EDM number 499 in 2012-13, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 11/09/2012.
Categorised under the topic of Religion and faith communities.

That this House recognises that Iranian Christian Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani, who has been held in prison for more than three years under sentence of death for apostasy, has been released; also notes that many thousands of other Christians, and those of other faiths, in the Middle East and North Africa are facing harassment and intimidation, to the point where entire regions have seen a reduction in hundreds of thousands in populations not professing the Muslim faith; and calls for a renewed international effort to promote a more tolerant approach to minority faiths in the countries affected.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
