That this House commends the Love Your River Campaign led by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, which aims to highlight the link between river health and water use, so that people understand and value water and take action to improve their local rivers and theenvironment around them; welcomes Olympic gold medallist rower, James Cracknell's role as an adviser to the campaign; recognises and applauds the intention to involve local communities in ensuring the well-being and purity of their local rivers; further welcomes the implications this campaign will have for the River Kent in the Lake District, which provides a habitat for local wildlife, is popular with kayakers and contributes significantly to the natural beauty of the area; and calls on hon. Members to support the campaign in order to recognise the vital natural resources which run through so many of our towns and cities.
