Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue

EDM number 991 in 2012-13, proposed by David Morris on 29/01/2013.
Categorised under the topics of Emergency services and Voluntary organisations.

That this House notes that adverse weather conditions caused the M6 Motorway to be closed for several hours on 25 January 2013; further notes that Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue was sent to assist stranded motorists; believes that without the skill and professionalism of the Mountain Rescue this incident could have been more serious than an inconvenience to drivers; congratulates Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue for the excellent work they do all year round to keep people safe; and recognises the importance of this charitable group.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
