Mobile Coverage In Rural Areas
EDM number 598 in 2017-19, proposed by Timothy Farron on 28/11/2017.
Categorised under the topics of Countryside and Telecommunications.
That this House condemns the poor mobile coverage that many people currently suffer from in rural areas of the UK; notes that this issue is of ever-increasing importance as many local businesses require mobile phone coverage for their customers to pay by card; and calls for legislation to be implemented to require all parts of the UK to be covered by at least one service provider.
