Fund For Second World War Memorial

EDM number 2906 in 2005-06, proposed by Nigel Evans on 02/11/2006.

That this House notes with dismay the decision by the National Lottery not to award £4.4 million to the trustees of a new national memorial to commemorate those killed in the armed forces since the Second World War; and calls on the National Lottery to restore faith in its distribution of grants and to review this decision at the earliest opportunity so that funding can be provided for this excellent cause and a fitting monument can be created to those members of the armed forces who have died in service to the country.

This motion has been signed by a total of 63 MPs.
