Allocation Of Natwest Final Tickets
EDM number 1651 in 1997-98, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 02/09/1998.
That this House is appalled at the poor allocation of tickets for the NatWest Cricket Final at Lords on 5 September 1998; condemns the fact that Lancashire and Derbyshire have only been given 4,500 tickets each, with MCC members and sponsors receiving over 14,000; notes that the control of ticket allocation is placed with Lords, who are operating on a basis of privilege for their members; and calls for the responsibility of ticket allocation to be placed with the ECB in the future, in order to ensure that the two counties involved in the final receive a greater share of tickets.
