Crosstalk

EDM number 107 in 1999-00, proposed by Siobhain McDonagh on 29/11/1999.

That this House is concerned to hear of plans by London News Network to axe the London political programme Crosstalk; believes that with the advent of a new Mayor and Assembly for the capital it is vital that the electorate is as informed as possible on the key political matters; and calls on London News Network and London Weekend Television to reconsider this decision, or, at the very least, give a firm commitment that any replacement for Crosstalk contains a majority element of political debate and discussion.

This motion has been signed by a total of 24 MPs.
