Meteor And A400m

EDM number 20 in 1999-00, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 17/11/1999.

That this House welcomes the recent announcement that the European Meteor Team is to be partnered by Boeing in its attempt to provide a beyond visual range air-to-air missile to arm the Eurofighter; and looks to the Government for a commitment to the Meteor project and to the A400M military transport aircraft which would signal the Government's commitment to strengthening the European defence industry, proving valuable high-tech jobs in Britain and ensuring the UK's armed forces are adequately equipped for the 21st century.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
