EDM number 482 in 1999-00, proposed by Mike Hancock on 07/03/2000.

That this House seeks the Ministry of Defence's help to prevent the sale of Serle's House, Winchester, home of the Hampshire Regiment Museum and the Garden of Remembrance dedicated to Hampshire's Fallen in the two World Wars, on the open market; and supports the efforts of Hampshire County Council to purchase, at a reduced cost, and to protect the house and garden for the people of Hampshire.
