Genocide Of Armenians

EDM number 170 in 2000-01, proposed by David Amess on 09/01/2001.

That this House supports the Government's proposals to mark its first Holocaust Memorial Day on 27th January to remember all those who died in the Jewish Holocaust and the Rwandan and Kosovan genocides; but notes with regret that no mention is made of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 in which nearly two million Armenians were massacred by the Ottoman Government of the day; and calls upon the Home Office to include the Armenian Genocide in their plans for the day.

This motion has been signed by a total of 56 MPs.
