Turner And Newall Pension Fund
EDM number 1717 in 2003-04, proposed by Tom Levitt on 12/10/2004.
That this House notes the perilous state of the Turner and Newall Pension Fund, the concerns of its 40,000 members and the impact of years of administration on confidence in the fund; expresses concern that the fund was allowed to deteriorate through many years of contribution holidays; notes the actions of local campaigners around the country, trade unions, honourable members and others in campaigning for a fair deal for Turner and Newall pension fund members; and urges all interested parties to work together to obtain the best possible outcome for existing and future pensioners reliant on the Turner and Newall Pension Fund.
