Funding For Student Nurses In Northern Ireland

EDM number 944 in 2003-04, proposed by Iris Robinson on 30/03/2004.

That this House recognises the difficulties in attracting young people to train as nurses; notes that nursing students in Northern Ireland on bursaries are at a disadvantage when compared to their counterparts in the rest of the United Kingdom, both in that they receive ú330 less per year, and that they are unable to enter the benefits system; and calls for urgent redress of these inequalities.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
