University Of Bolton

That this House congratulates the University of Bolton, Britain's newest university; notes that the university will continue to focus on developing its students in a challenging academic environment that prepares them for real jobs in a real world; further notes that the university title for the former Bolton Institute will strengthen the University of Bolton's reputation in research and development, innovation and its practical application for the benefit for businesses and the community, supporting wealth creation; recognises that the university title will support the academic institution's international standing and help create new partnerships around the world; and calls on the Government to acknowledge the achievement of all involved.
