Prisoners Serving Their Full Sentence

EDM number 1064 in 2005-06, proposed by Philip Davies on 17/11/2005.

That this House recognises that criminals released early from prison and placed on the tagging scheme are re-offending at record rates; is appalled that since 1997 1,167 people released on parole have been charged with further crimes before the end of their sentences and that 6,714 crimes have been committed by people on home detention curfews; and therefore calls for this scheme to be scrapped and for prisoners to serve the sentence handed out by the court in full.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
