Arrest Of Gambian Opposition Leaders

EDM number 1092 in 2005-06, proposed by John McDonnell on 22/11/2005.

That this House expresses its gravest concern at the arrest by President Jammeh of Omar Jallow, Hamat Bah and Halifa Sallah, the leaders of the Gambian opposition, the National Alliance for Democracy and Development; and calls on the UK Government to do all it can to exert its influence on the Gambian President to secure their release.
