Association Of The British Pharmaceutical Industry Code Of Practice For The Pharmaceutical Industry

That this House congratulates the pharmaceutical industry on its revised ABPI Code of Practice; acknowledges that the promotion of prescription medicines to health professionals and the provision of information about prescription-only medicines to the public by the industry needs to be robustly regulated; welcomes the ABPI's Code Awareness Day on 25th April; and urges health professionals, patient groups and others to work in partnership with the pharmaceutical industry to ensure the highest ethical standards for the benefit of patients.
