C8 CHILDREN'S FORUM

EDM number 494 in 2005-06, proposed by Keith Vaz on 04/07/2005.

That this House supports the Children's Forum, the C8 summit, taking place on 2nd to 8th July and involving young people from eight of the world's poorest countries and young people from the G8 countries; notes that the countries represented are Bhutan, Lesotho, Bolivia, Sierra Leone, Yemen, Cambodia, Moldova, the Republic of Guinea, UK, Italy, Russia, Germany and France; congratulates UNICEF on organising this inventive initiative; and wishes all participants well in what is certain to be an extraordinary exchange.
