Young People In Employment

EDM number 1001 in 2006-07, proposed by Ronnie Campbell on 27/02/2007.

That this House is very disappointed by Government figures revealing that more than 1.24 million people between the ages of 15 and 24 years are neither in education nor a training scheme nor employment; and calls for the Government to run a multi-billion pound apprentice scheme to get these young people off the streets and into full-time employment.
