Un World Environment Day

EDM number 1393 in 2006-07, proposed by Colin Challen on 01/05/2007.

That this House welcomes United Nations World Environment Day (WED) on 5th June; supports the Environment Agency's work for WED which this year aims to see what people are doing to tackle climate change and what more they could do; recognises the importance of hon. Members in providing leadership in this area; and therefore urges hon. Members to consider their own environmental behaviour and to urge their constituents to do the same by visiting the campaign website at www.environment-agency.gov.uk/wed.
