EDM number 1677 in 2006-07, proposed by Roger Godsiff on 12/06/2007.
That this House acknowledges the loyalty and sacrifice of overseas citizens who have served in the British armed forces and who have been awarded the Victoria Cross for extreme gallantry including Mr Tal Bahadur Pun, aged 84, who served in the Gurkhas in the Second World War; and believes that overseas citizens who have been awarded the Victoria Cross while serving in the British armed forces should be allowed to settle in the United Kingdom, with their immediate family, in recognition of, and as a reward for, their exceptional service to this country.
