Hidden Treasures Brought To Life Competition

EDM number 1745 in 2006-07, proposed by Willie Rennie on 21/06/2007.

That this House supports the Hidden Treasures Brought to Life competition, launched by the British Library, which challenges public libraries across the UK to uncover hidden treasures within their collections, the most deserving of which will be turned into virtual texts; and also welcomes the opportunity for members of the public to rediscover their local, as well as national, libraries, particularly as the four winners from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will have their items digitalised and placed on the British Library website, allowing people from across the world to access them.

This motion has been signed by a total of 49 MPs.
