Centenary Of The National Library Of Wales

EDM number 1950 in 2006-07, proposed by Mark Williams on 18/07/2007.

That this House notes the centenary of the National Library of Wales, which received its Royal Charter in 1907; recognises the important role the Library has played in archiving and exhibiting Wales' cultural heritage; further notes the century of valuable service provided by the Library in educating its visitors, now numbering approximately 100,000 a year from Wales and elsewhere; and calls on the Government to continue its support of the library system as an important part of the UK's national heritage as it moves towards a crucial period of change in the electronic era.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
