Genesis Paint It Pink Campaign

EDM number 2154 in 2006-07, proposed by Sandra Gidley on 18/10/2007.

That this House supports the Genesis Appeal's `Paint it Pink' Campaign which runs throughout October and encourages people to paint one fingernail pink to signify the one in 10 women who will develop breast cancer at some point in their lives; praises its mission to create a future without breast cancer by making one in 10, none in 10; welcomes the campaign for raising awareness of the need for people to perform regular breast self-examinations; acknowledges the hard work of charities such as the Genesis Appeal in striving to create a future without breast cancer; and encourages people to seek advice from their local pharmacist or other healthcare professional on self-examination.
