Cluster Munitions (No. 3)

EDM number 273 in 2006-07, proposed by Martin Caton on 23/11/2006.

That this House welcomes the calls by Kofi Annan, Secretary General of the United Nations, for a freeze, and the International Committee of the Red Cross for a prohibition, on the use of cluster munitions in populated areas; and urges the UK Government to respond positively to this appeal and enter into international negotiations to achieve a ban on production, stockpiling or use of these weapons.
