Hm Revenue And Customs Office Chorley

EDM number 1169 in 2007-08, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 11/03/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Taxation and Unemployment.

That this House notes with concern the proposal to close the HM Revenue and Customs Office in Chorley; recognises that the staff employed provide a first class service to local people serving a population in excess of 100,000; further notes that in previous years the role of the Chorley office has been recognised when reviews have been undertaken; and calls on the Government and HM Revenue and Customs to reverse this decision and ensure that the people of Chorley and surrounding districts have an easily accessible Revenue and Customs office within the locality.

This motion has been signed by a total of 34 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
