Multifaith Forum Promoted By Saudi Arabia

EDM number 1470 in 2007-08, proposed by Daniel Kawczynski on 01/05/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Middle East and Religion and faith communities.

That this House notes the initiative of the King of Saudi Arabia to bring together leaders of the Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths to a forum; applauds the fact that the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques wishes to engage with other faiths to ensure that the many factors that bind the various religious beliefs are shared and promoted; and hopes that the forum will demonstrate to the forces of extremism that Saudi Arabia and Britain are firm friends who are united in their determination to work together for better understanding, tolerance and mutual respect.
