NATIONAL FARMERS' UNION CENTENARY

EDM number 1649 in 2007-08, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 02/06/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Agriculture, Farmers, Industrial relations and Nature conservation.

That this House both recognises and congratulates the National Farmers' Union's (NFU) centenary celebration; notes the NFU's continuous hard work in providing effective and efficient representation on behalf of the UK's farming community; considers that it is thanks to the NFU's sustained efforts to promote successful and socially responsible agriculture and horticulture that the UK is still a farming force in Europe; and looks forward to the Government continuing to have a beneficial relationship with the NFU.

This motion has been signed by a total of 54 MPs.
