Bt Payphones In Wales

EDM number 1680 in 2007-08, proposed by Elfyn Llwyd on 03/06/2008.
Categorised under the topic of Telecommunications.

That this House notes with great concern the intention of BT Payphones to cut back on the number of payphone boxes currently in existence in Wales; believes that this will present a danger to many people throughout Wales whose mobile telephone reception is weak and hopes that BT might realise that not everyone has a telephone landline; further believes that this reduction is driven by profit without regard to the quality of or access to services in Wales; and calls for BT to act responsibly and reconsider this damaging cutback.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
