Aids And Adaptations In Sheffield

EDM number 2116 in 2007-08, proposed by Clive Betts on 21/07/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Community care, Elderly people, Health services and Housing adaptations.

That this House welcomes the £2.4 million additional funding made available by the NHS to Sheffield City Council; recognises the importance of providing elderly people and people with disabilities with aids and adaptations to enable them to stay in their own homes; is therefore concerned at the wait of 18 months or longer which many people in Sheffield are experiencing before necessary adaptations are carried out; and condemns Sheffield City Council's refusal to spend the £2.4 million of NHS money immediately to ensure that elderly and disabled people with recognised needs get the services they deserve.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
