Police Service Pay In Scotland

EDM number 539 in 2007-08, proposed by Angus MacNeil on 11/12/2007.
Categorised under the topics of Incomes and poverty, Pay, Police and Scottish Parliament.

That this House notes that the Scottish Government has made a commitment to implement the Police Arbitration Tribunal's pay recommendations and to backdate the pay award in full; believes that a motivated and fairly remunerated police service has a crucial role to play in securing community safety and wellbeing; and urges the Home Office to study the Scottish precedent without delay and to undertake a review of its determination in this matter with a view to ensuring that England's police officers are accorded equivalent respect and consideration.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
