Sustrans Connect2, Winner Of The People's £50 Million

EDM number 570 in 2007-08, proposed by Stephen Williams on 12/12/2007.
Categorised under the topics of Cycling, Environmental protection, Health education and preventive medicine and National Lottery.

That this House congratulates Sustrans on winning the public vote as the most popular project in the ITV competition to receive £50 million from the Big Lottery Fund; notes that this money will create new cycling and walking routes in 79 communities across the country, including new routes in Bristol where Sustrans began its work 30 years ago; and believes that further investment in the most sustainable forms of transport will be of great environmental and health benefit.
