Visa Application Of Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi

EDM number 794 in 2007-08, proposed by Nigel Evans on 28/01/2008.
Categorised under the topic of Immigration.

That this House expresses its grave concern at reports that Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi of the Muslim Brotherhood has applied for a visa to visit London; is appalled that al-Qaradawi has spoken in favour of suicide bombings and of the execution of homosexuals; further notes that al-Qaradawi has been banned from entering the USA since 1999; is dismayed that he could be granted entry to the UK; and calls on the Government to reject his visa application without delay.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs.
