That this House notes the creation of 800 jobs over the next five to 10 years at BAE Systems Samlesbury site in the Ribble Valley as part of an £800 million investment programme; congratulates BAE Systems on the increased demand of the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter programme and for securing their contract on its production of the Typhoon fleet; praises the employees of BAE Systems that have established the Samlesbury site as a centre of British engineering excellence; and calls on the Government to support British engineering, ensuring that Britain stays at the forefront of both production and design.
