That this House recognises that many charities, organisations and churches around the country are working tirelessly to support those for whom Christmas is a difficult time; acknowledges their provision of homeless shelters, support for those with health problems, company and support for those on their own; recognises the invaluable role the Church plays at Christmas by uniting the community and providing help to families, the homeless and those on their own; and congratulates the thousands of volunteers throughout the UK who give up their spare time to support others during the holidays.
