That this House notes the extraordinary success of the Channel 4 and Film4 production companies over the past year; congratulates their talented filmmaking teams for their six Golden Globe Awards, nine British Independent Film Awards, nine BAFTA Awards and eight Oscars; recognises the world-wide appeal and influence of British filmmaking; urges the Government to ensure adequate and sustainable funding is provided to the companies in question through its Digital Britain review; and wishes Channel 4, Film4 and the UK creative industry in general further success in the future.
