That this House congratulates the Welsh and English Baseball chairmen Ken Gough and John Jervis on the success of the 85th annual international match between the two countries played in Newport on 3 July 2010; celebrates the welcome revival of participation in the distinctive code of Welsh baseball which has been played in Newport, Liverpool and Cardiff by hundreds of teams since the nineteenth century; welcomes the new developments in women's and youth baseball in all three cities; and looks forward to continuing progress in this spectator-friendly sport of high skill and athleticism.
