That this House notes with concern reports that the National Police Improvement Agency (NPIA) Missing Persons Bureau faces closure or restructuring; recognises the continuing need for an integrated service for missing adults and children; acknowledges the important role of the Bureau in linking missing persons cases with other crimes including murder; is particularly concerned about the impact on vulnerable groups such as 16 to 25 year olds; urges the Government to reconsider any reduction in service; and calls for action on the recommendation of the Missing Persons Task Force.
