That this House calls on the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport to guarantee, in line with the requirement of the Public Bodies Act 2011, to provide sufficient funding for S4C; believes that there should be no more reductions to the S4C grant from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) as a result of any further departmental budget cuts; notes that DCMS has already cut its funding of S4C by over 90 per cent and transferred responsibility to the licence fee; and further believes that S4C needs a stable and sustainable funding structure going forward in order to effectively run its services and to provide much-needed investment in the creative industries.
