Hospital Car Parking And Cancer Patients

That this House notes research by Macmillan Cancer Support which shows that four in five people diagnosed with cancer are £570 a month worse off as a result of their diagnosis; further note that this financial burden is due to loss of income and increased costs; acknowledges that 47 per cent of NHS hospitals in England have increased their hourly car parking charges since 2014; agrees that hospital car parking charges constitute a financial burden for cancer patients; and urges the Government to abolish car parking charges in NHS hospitals in England for cancer patients.
